Significant Achievement in Sustainable Cosmetics: Faculty of Pharmacy Receives First Place Award
The Upcycle Project Competition, held within the framework of the 9th International Cosmetics Congress and focusing on sustainability, circular economy, and environmental responsibility in the cosmetics industry, evaluates projects that focus on the creative and functional reuse of waste generated after production or consumption. The project developed by Polisome R&D, owned by Assistant Professor Ahmet Arif Kurt, a faculty member of the Faculty of Pharmacy, stood out with its innovative approach aiming to transform waste materials into value-added products and was awarded first prize. Our student, Can Tunca, actively participated in the project and provided support.
This award once again highlights the importance of university-industry collaboration in sustainable and innovative product development processes, and successfully represents the scientific productivity of our faculty and the applied research competence of our students on an international platform.
We congratulate Assistant Professor Ahmet Arif Kurt, our student Can Tunca, who contributed to the project, and the Polisome R&D team, and wish them continued success.
