Analytical Chemistry

Vision

Research activity of the Department of Analytical Chemistry is focused on the development, optimization and validation of analytical methods for selective detection, quantitation, and monitoring of low concentration levels of active pharmaceutical ingredients using mostly chromatographic, electrophoretic, spectrophotometric and electrochemical techniques. In addition, it aims to follow up the new developments in the pharmaceutical analysis techniques using advanced instrumental analysis techniques and referring to international publications in order to serve the society well in the field of pharmaceutical industry and quality control.

Mission

The aim of the Department of Analytical Chemistry is to provide students with a firm and sufficiently broad theoretical and methodological basis to teach chemical and instrumental analysis techniques of inorganic and organic substances, including drugs.
