Pharmacology is the branch of science that fundamentally studies the effects of drugs and drug candidate molecules in living organisms. Preclinically, the effects of drug active ingredients are studied in disease models created in experimental animals. At the clinical level, drug use, drug side effects, and individual differences in disease diagnosis and treatment are investigated. This research has led to the emergence of subfields such as pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, pharmacovigilance, and pharmacogenomics. Our department aims to teach students the fundamentals of these topics throughout their education and provide them with a foundation to keep up with new developments.
