About Us

Süleyman Demirel University Faculty of Pharmacy was officially opened in accordance with Additional Article 30 of Law No. 2809, by the Council of Ministers' decision numbered 2012/2972 dated March 16, 2012, and published in the Official Gazette numbered 28261 dated April 11, 2012. The opening procedures for the faculty began with the decision of the Council of Ministers, dated March 16, 2012, and numbered 2012/2972.
The departments and major branches to be located within the Faculty of Pharmacy at Süleyman Demirel University were determined by the University Senate's decision numbered 2012/394 dated November 28, 2012, and submitted to the Council of Higher Education. The Council of Higher Education's decision numbered B.08.6.YÖK.0.72-101.03-8272 dated December 18, 2012, approved the opening of the specified departments and major branches within the Faculty of Pharmacy, and the Faculty of Pharmacy was officially established. Students have been admitted to our faculty since the 2018-2019 academic year.
The Faculty of Pharmacy comprises three departments: the Department of Basic Pharmaceutical Sciences, the Department of Pharmaceutical Professional Sciences, and the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology. These departments also include Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Basic Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmaceutical Microbiology, Pharmacognosy (Phytopharmacy), Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Botany, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Toxicology, Pharmacy Management, Clinical Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Technology (Biopharmaceutics and Pharmacokinetics, Cosmetology), and Radiopharmacy.
The Faculty of Pharmacy's vision is to be a leading faculty that embraces excellence at universal standards, adheres to ethical values, believes in the superiority of science, and inspires modern education and research for the welfare of society. The mission of the Faculty of Pharmacy is to collaborate with stakeholders to develop teaching, practice, scientific study, professional experience and service opportunities, to continuously improve the quality of education and research, and to train pharmacists who can integrate knowledge, skills and social responsibility, are competent, think analytically and have ethical values.
